🐘 If Animals Could Talk – Vacation Bible School

Step into the wild and discover God’s truth through the voices of His creation in If Animals Could Talk VBS! Each day, children will journey through exciting Bible stories that teach the importance of obeying God and our parents. From lions and whales to donkeys and every creature in between, kids will experience powerful lessons from the animals who witnessed God’s amazing works!

🦒 Day 1 – Creation: Adam & Eve and the Naming of the Animals

In the beginning, God created everything—every creature, big and small! The skies, the seas, and every living thing were made by His powerful hands. Among all His creation, God made Adam and Eve to live in the beautiful Garden of Eden.

God gave them a special job—to take care of His creation and to name every animal. Imagine Adam seeing each animal for the first time: lions, giraffes, elephants, birds, and fish! What fun it must have been to name them all!

But one day, Adam and Eve disobeyed God. Because of their disobedience, they had to leave the Garden. Even though they made a mistake, God still loved them deeply and cared for them. Through this story, children learn that while sin brings consequences, God’s love never ends.

🦁 Day 2 – Daniel in the Lion’s Den

The lions have a story to tell! When Daniel obeyed God, he was protected from harm—even inside a den filled with hungry lions! Because Daniel continued to pray and trust God, the Lord sent an angel to close the lions’ mouths and keep him safe.

Through this lesson, children learn that obedience brings blessing and that God always watches over those who follow Him. Even when others don’t understand or when it’s hard to do what’s right, we can be brave like Daniel and trust that God will take care of us.

Kids will roar with excitement as they discover that no situation is too scary when we choose to obey God. Just like Daniel, they’ll see that obedience shows faith—and faith brings victory!

🐋 Day 3 – Jonah and the Whale

A great fish has a great lesson! When Jonah disobeyed God, he tried to run away from what God asked him to do. But God had a special plan and used a big whale to get Jonah’s attention! Inside the belly of the fish, Jonah realized he couldn’t hide from God’s love or His calling.

When Jonah prayed and asked for forgiveness, God gave him a second chance. Jonah obeyed and completed the mission God gave him—to share His message with others.

Through this story, children learn that even when we make mistakes, God never gives up on us. He forgives, restores, and helps us get back on the right path. Kids will discover that obedience is always the best choice and that God’s mercy gives everyone another opportunity to do what’s right.

🐴 Day 4 – Balaam’s Donkey

A donkey had something to say—and it’s a message we won’t forget! When Balaam disobeyed God, he set out on a journey that God had warned him not to take. To stop him, the Lord sent an angel to block the road. Balaam couldn’t see the angel, but his donkey could!

Each time the donkey saw the angel, it turned away. Frustrated, Balaam struck the donkey—until God did something amazing. He opened the donkey’s mouth, and it spoke! Through this talking animal, God showed Balaam that He sees what we cannot and that obedience to His voice is always the best path.

Children will laugh at the surprise of a talking donkey, but they’ll also learn an important truth: God can use anyone—or anything—to speak to us and guide us back when we disobey.

As we listen and obey, we experience God’s protection, direction, and love in our lives.
