The definition of worship is to honor and obey God. Most of the time, when you hear the word “worship,” you envision people singing in church. Although this is one way to honor God, there are many others.
Here are just a few:
✓ Reading God’s word and keeping it close to your heart, Proverbs 4:21-23.
✓ Spreading the good news – God’s Word, Matthew 28:16-20.
✓ Praying with thanksgiving, present your requests to God, Matthew 6:33.
✓ Kneeling, Psalm 95:6.
✓ Prostrating yourself to Him, stretching out on the ground with one’s face downward in reverence or submission, Psalm 66:4.
✓ Tithing – obeying God’s word and giving a 10th back to him for the works of the ministry, Malachi 3:10.
✓ Singing praises to Him, Psalm 134:2.
✓ Music of praises, playing instruments, Psalm 33:1-3.
✓ Raising one’s hands in reverence, Psalm 134:2.
✓ Shouting Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God, Revelation 19:1
✓ Worshiping Him through your life, showing kindness, love, and respect to all, Ephesians 4:32.
